Sundays in the Chapultapec Park, a gem of Mexico City, are jam packed with life and activity. Families stroll the tree lined paths, lovers enjoy the panoramic views from the castle, friends paddle boat around the lake and the scent of churros fills the air. Yum!
And while the autumn rains aren't the slightest deterrent to enjoying a day in the park, they do necessitate a bit of bundling up.
Here at Vermeulen & Co., we don't just make the beautiful boiled wool Friesian Jacket, we wear it too. This week it's really been put to the test! It has weathered cool temperatures and heavy showers as well as enjoyed museums, the ballet, eating out, grocery shopping and lounging around the apartamento. When it's gotten warm, I've stuffed it in my satchel.
Here's the jacket in the sculpture gardens of the Museo de Arte Moderno
in the Bosque de Chapultapec.
I can honestly report that this jacket has been perfect every day. Strangers have stopped me to compliment it... really.
The jacket is slimming by highlighting the curve of your back. The two front pockets are perfect for museum tickets and other odds and ends. It is lovely worn open or with the four horn buttons closed. The boiled wool has a natural stretch allowing a full ease of movement.
